Loti, Lesotho

Loti (Plural Maloti) ist die Währung des Königreichs Lesotho.
1 Loti ist in 100 Lisente (Singual = Sente) unterteilt. Lesothi und Südafrika haben eine Währungsunion, beide Währungen sind 1:1 aneinander gekoppelt und der südafrikanische Rand ist ebenfalls gültiges Zahlungsmittel in Lesotho. Die ersten Banknoten zu 2, 5 und 10 Maloti wurden 1979 gedruckt und 1980 ausgegeben, 1981 folgten die Werte zu 20 und 50 Maloti und 1994 schließlich Banknoten zu 100 und 200 Maloti.
